I think I have seen the lowest priced double rifle ever. Went to the gun show this last weekend and there saw two double rifles, one for $375, the other $369.95, NIB. That's right, less than four hunnert bucks.
They were made in Russia of course. (As an aside, I have learned that the brand names associated with Russian guns are not the names of the manufacturers, but the names of the exporters. Baikal for example, is an exporting firm, not a maker.) these were imported by EAA. they were over under rifles with a regulating adjustment under the bottom barrel. This adjustment looked as if it would only move the bottom barrel's impact point vertically, not horizontally. But it was hidden inside the forearm and did not add klunkyness to the looks. One rifle was for the 308, the other for the 223. Double triggers, auto safety, top lever. Like a Valmet, no ribs between the barrels. Not the best quality I've ever seen, but darn good for less than $400! The Russians have been steadily improving their wares. (There is a rather humorous story behind this improvement.) At the same show saw one of the New Remington distributed Russian shotguns and it was far and away the best looking I've seen yet from Russia.
