k80...sorry a bit of confusion here....if you can seat the bullet in the Dillon, why do you need a single stage press to crimp it? It is basically the same length die used in crimping and seating. I use a separate die for crimping my .416 (actually I use separate crimp dies for all my rifle calibers) and the length of the two in the die holder is identical. Worst case scenario would be to have a machinest take a little off the bottom of a crimp die and then chamfer it so the case would go in smoothly. I may be missing something here, don't mean to start an argument, just very confused.. ![]() |
