Interesting, from the pictures of the action & locks it looks to be British 1870’s -1880’s styling..
…….so a “.410” double rifle, I wonder if it was bored out smooth or if the auction house (if an auction) just used the description to mean an unknown .40 calibre?
“Henry Pielling” was perhaps a retailer?
