One thing to consider before buying used... If getting a Searcy or a Chapuis, a new one built for you isn't much more than the cost of a good used one and the price on a new one includes a stock built to your measurements at no extra charge. If you're not the "standard size human" used as the basis for most factory stocks, the comparatively small savings of buying used are more than offset by having the gun built to fit. If buying used, and you're not standard size, you have to look at guns until you find one that fits, or have someone bend and adjust the stock, and the whole procedure of "find and buy and modify" could take longer than the delivery time on a new one.
