MULWEX 2213 is comparible to IMR4831 If your rifle is proofed for full Cordite load of 75.0 grs cordite, with a 480 gr bullet, then the IMR 4831 load would be: 75.0 grs Cordite X 1.33 = 99.75 grs IMR 4831 Or: for RL 15 75.0 grs cordite X 1.19 = 89.25 grs of RL 15 These are starting loads, and are low! they will most likely shoot wide, and high, and need speeding up,to bring them down, and back together on the target. Both require the use of filler in the case between the powder, and the base of the bullet, to avoid a flame over, giveing high pressure spikes! Dacorm fiberfill, available at any faberic shop it is dacron pillow stuffing. You should use enough so that the filler is slightly compressed when the bullet is seated. If however your rifle is only proofed for Nitro for Black express, then these loads are not for it! load for Nitro for black is: 52.0 grs cordite with a 375 gr bullet factory load 52.0 grs of cordite X 1.33 = 69.16 grs of IMR4831 OR: 52.o grs of cordite X 1.19 = 61.88 grs of RL 15 both with a 365 gr bullet! CAUTION: especially the loads for the Nitro for black need filler even more! Proceed slowly with the work up of any loads with these formulas! My load for my rifle is 105.o grs IMR 4831, with a 480 gr Woodliegh soft ppoint, and 104.0 with a 480 gr Woodliegh steel jacketed solid. But that is "MY" rifle, and I did not start with that load, I worked it up from those two formulas! |
