Hello CptCurl,
Thanks for the reply.
I will be testing loads with various bullet types and weights. I even have a set of Corbin Swage dies in .251 diamster coming to make my own custom bullets.

Interesting choice of caliber, I always thought a 22wmr or hornet might be great choices fir a small game double.
I dud see one in 22lr once based on a 410sxs.

But that's a beautiful gun and should be great for all kinds of small game.

Hello 260rem,
Thanks for the reply.

Over the years, I've seen several double rifles in those calibers. I wanted a double rifle in a small centerfire caliber that no one has built before.

Rather odd…but interesting and it works. 90 ft/lbs today is what a good powerful airgun does in .25cal.

Buckstix: Do you reload for the .25acp?…just wondering.

Hello rigbymauser,
Thanks for the reply.

Yes, I reload for 25acp. I once has a Mauser single shot in that caliber.

POWERFUL indeed, comparing to my PCP air rifles in .25 that develop 45fpe.
Same velocity but with lighter projectiles in the 25/26gr. range.
The .25ACP headspaces on the case mouth, I assume.

Hello Daryl_S
Thanks for the reply.
The 25acp is a semi-rimmed cartridge. You can see the rim recess in the chambers in photo 14 & 15.
It extracts flawlessly.

Well done Buckstix you've turned those killer rabbits into a killer stew!
Unusual choice in caliber, but what the heck its your rifle & it obviously does a good job on those wascally wabbits!

Hello 93x64mm,
Thanks for the reply.

As I stated above, I wanted a small center-fire double rifle in a cartridge that no one has built before. I wanted a true "one-of-a-kind".

Nice rifle.

Peter Hofer (corrected from Fuchs) made a very small, light weight .17 double rifle. For a huge price tag. Featured somewhere on NE.

I have long wanted a little dr bunny slayer. I would go for a .22 Hornet. And tried a couple of times.

Good luck with your charging rabbit grey death slayer.

Hello NitroX,
Thanks for the reply.

I also wanted a caliber that was legal for hunting in all States. Many required 25 cal minimum.
