A little off the intial topic of asking if anyone knew of a Paradox for a friend, but it still pertains to the friend and bore rifles... I just returned from a visit and viewing of the latest purchases he made. The 10 bore Westley Richards Explora was a beautiful feeling rifle. The 12 bore Manton was nice, too. The Manton is a double hammer, underlever rifle. The Explora is a top break hammergun. He is trying to justify the need to purchase (and spend handsomely for) the Holland .577 that Roosevelt & Drake has, and is awaiting the arival of a cute little Jeffrey .318.
Also in the visit, I was shown pictures of a former fixture in his vault. It was a beautiful 8 bore Paradox double hammer/underlever rifle. Needless to say, he did nothing to curb my desire to own a double today and made me feel guilty for fondling the various rifles and several equally impressive scatterguns.
