My Standing Rest

For the want of a better idea I have been using the backend of my pickup. I found that the tailgate is just the right height to rest my right forearm on while the left hand is on the bag. I can stand straight up and it is very stable.

You can see the target at 35 yards just over the bag.

Obviously this would not work with a mini pickup because the height would be too low.

If I want to change the distance I just back up or pull forward. A final advantage is that all my stuff can stay in the truck and I don't have to unload the truck like I do at the range.

I can shoot 4 rounds in about 10 minutes on the way to work by just pulling off the road in this power line easement.

Anyone passing by just assumes I am doing the normal hillbilly thing and shooting stuff out of the truck - nothing unusual for this part of the country.

Any other ideas would be appreciated.
