Thanks for the update of SSAA Insurance's 'offerings'.

What I wrote above, was correct at that time. But at [or maybe a bit before] the start of this year, their setup changed from writing policies as a broker, with QBE & MMI as joint underwriters, to acting as agent only, and for Allianz.

The change in setup was due to changes in legislation, but as you say, SSAA have a few roos loose in the top paddock, for going with Allianz.

You've caused me to do a careful comparison of the policy wording between QBE/MMI and Allianz, and although SSAA Insurance claimed that Allianz had adopted their 'Steadfast' policy wording, there are some gotchas in it, alright.

And the firearms stuff was spelled out in the policy schedule, formerly. No longer the case.

I presume you were looking at insuring firearms as 'specified personal effects'?

Looks like you're fortunate to have TIO, up at the Top End. We Mexicans will just have to see what we can find.
