I was just going through Elmer Keiths book Rifles for Large Game looking for infomation in the .400 Whelen. I noticed a picture of Elmer's 375 NE Lancaster double rifle, and over a few pages is a picture of some cartridges. The cartridges include a .375 NE Elmer made for his double using 405 Winchester brass...that cartridge is a .375 2 1/2 Flanged NE and not a 375 Flanged Magnum NE!

Is that right , Elmer's double was a .375 2 1/2 Flanged NE???

And, given the number of times I have read and browsed that book, why didn't I pick that up before...don't answer that!
