Did a light cleaning today but decided against a complete dismantling as I think I just want to preserve it as it is.
Not too bad really.
Pretty basic rifle but of very high quality as one expects from Alex Henry.
One thing of note is the precision of inletting.
The exact fit of the lock is a marvel. Of course, a rifle for use in such conditions must be tightly fit to preserve the lock internals.

Even has a proof stamp of some sort on the wood just past the end of the bottom tang.
