The rifle came with a factory test target very much the same as mine. I read somewhere that their factory stds. called for both bbls. grouping within 7 cm at 50 m*, so this one should qualify (BTW, not to my stds...). I tried open sights vs. scope and it didn't make much difference. This in itself is rather unusual for, as Chasseur noted, scoping a double often requires adjusting the bbls. (after being scoped, my FN crossfired and had to be re-regulated). Comparing the Chapuis to my FN is like comparing a Toyota to a Mercedes.
*I don't know if they still do but formerly Chapuis used to laser sight the bores in order to adjust the bbl. wedge, instead of the tedious and empirical (un-)solder/shoot method. It certainly brings down cost...
