I would say any of the choices will take anything that walks the earth, in the hands of a person who can shoot them properly. The only reason to avoid any of those choices is, some of the ones mentioned are a little hard to find ammo , or even components for. One of my favorites is the 450-400 NE 3 inch but my choice for Buffalo is the 470NE in a double rifle, with the 450-400NE 3in. I don't hunt elephant, but if I did my choice would be a double 500NE.
