Daryl - The cartridge is .50 X 1 1/2", I have a "baby" Howdah pistol in that calibre (posted here somewhere)
It is in Hoyem vol.3, I made cases from .500 BPE with difficulty as the chambers were very tight, probably made for foil cartridges as it is an early pistol
I will check out the auction pistols but way too much for me
