I owned one, an African Model in .375H&H and was very accurate if I played my part. It took both my buff's with both dropping to the shot but as is the case, a second follow up shot was given.

More to your point, the finish is first class irrespective of the caliber. Chapuis used to have a video on the making of the firearms on their website and you can see the detail they go to.
