That was my initial thought as Purdey didn't use that good a wod on guns
of that age - or at least the ones I have seen and the one I had didn't have that
good a wood.

Purdey restocked it and refinished it.
All looks legit to me if you read the champlins web site.

Easy to check though if you were thinking of buying it.
