The poor man's Paradox is, indeed, an O/U with popup sights and Brenneke slugs. That would be good to about 70 yards, with confidence, 100 yards if the deer was small and the shooter brave. I've considered trying to do that to my Citori come the day when I have time in the Fall to go bird hunting again, expecially where there are piggies. However, the original Paradox guns were designed to be "one gun to rule them all" in India and Africa where a farmer or junior officer might want to go hunting for either birds or game but could only afford one gun. The solution was splendid. Pity they have become such collector's items, I'd sure like the real thing.
