That flight isn't too long...downside of a January flight is 24 hour darkness if on a polar route. If wanting to go to Champlin's during summer try to get a window seat and take a camera complete with a telephoto lens in your carry on baggage in case the flight takes one of the polar routes across Greenland in 24 hour daylight conditions.
