The solution to this dilemma is simple. Just use 500 grain cast lead loads in your 470. 45 grains of XMP5744 (no filler) is almost guaranteed to regulate. Recoil is low. If you don't cast your own, you can buy some bullets from Wayne Doudna at reasonable prices.
have you chronographed that load? I'm curious as to how close it is to "regulation" velocity.
