I think both sears are fine. I'm hoping it might have just been a small piece of debris that caused poor engagement.

After about the tenth time it did it I realized that the horn trigger guard (witch I hate) positions my right hand wrong and that my trigger finger is hitting the rear trigger under recoil. I don't think I "strummed" the rear trigger, but I'll be paying close attention to that possibility next time I take the rifle shooting.
