I recently got a Leupold M8-3X that will get a set of claw mounts fitted to this rifle as a second and far better scope than the old original optics. The guy who is my FFL receiving dealer was a master machinist for a large aerospace contractor and has an ultra modern shop here locally, where he makes complicated parts on contract. He said to bring the original scope and mounts, and he'll make me a set of 1" split ring claw mounts.

At 70 years old and counting, my eyes will welcome the 3X Loopy.
