As speaking of "name" guns which often command a premium price, it`s still visuel inspection of the gun that for me determing whether to buy or let go! Having no experience in doublerifles I would like to aquire one I must rely on
on of what I have read! The doublerifle I am looking for is not a high price "namegun" but a gun that is in good shape mekanicalwise, good bore in both barrels, tight action and the wood must have no repaires or cracks!.
I read an artical(swedish) once about an Army & Navy .500 Bl ejt that the gunwriter had found for 15K (US$) and that gun have been on my mind ever since and that`s is what I am looking for! I have a .416 Rigby allready so the doublerifle should fill the gab that the .416 Rigby doesn`t and I figured a.500 3" nitro would do nicely. My wife have approved my budget(hahaha)so next year I`ll go looking for a good doublerifle!
