rigbymauser, I think you covered everything in your post. I just depends on which order you put them in. Re the Jeffrey, it is probably the calibre that makes it more valuable. Factors affecting value are (in NO particular order): name condition, finish amount of engraving or lack of wood - fancy or otherwise caliber Sidelock/Boxlock Hammer / Hammerless Ejector/Extractor Type of wood cased / uncased attractiveness of gun Balance, Fell, Fit Bore condition Barrel Length Originality + probably a whole lot more. It is hard to put into words what affects value more - all or some of the above factor into the equation at some point. You also get particular markets (ie The US) that have particular bents (Good Wood, Engraving, NAMES and condition !!!) Hope this helps 500 Nitro |
