I am sure that they can and do make very nice double rifles. The one I received had all the esthetics of a $300.00 Basque made shotgun. It was my first exposure to the Chapuis, and turned me off to them. My experience with the maker was limited to this one gun. I felt that if it looked that rough outside, then I was suspicious of its inner workings, also.

Also, I mean no disrespect to France. If it had been American, I would call it American junk...German...German junk... The dealer who sold me the gun was quite embarrased when he saw it.
