What it really boils down too is that having a set of barrels brazed together does not make them impossible to re-regulate.
Having a set of barrels brazed together and also having their ribs attached by brazing does mean that it could a very difficult or impossible task to re-regulate.
The problem is with the ribs being brazed, not with the barrels being brazed together.
