Personally I'm leaning towards the 450/400 3" as the best all round for a Double rifle. It does the job of the heavies without the recoil and is more fun to shoot.

That Jefferies looks intresting, not original, but pretty nice for the money. An all original one would be about twice that much(?). How much negotiating can you do with JJ.

Maybe get him to relacken and colour case that 400J, possible a set of claw mounts, that would be pretty close to ideal for me.
