Glad this topic opened up. I always thought that a rifle should be fitted just as carefully as a shotgun. Weither it should be to the same specifications as a shotgun I don't know. I spoke to a Westley Richards rep. at Safari Club and he said that about all they measured for a double rifle was length of pull. It just seems to me that if I was shooting at a 50 yard moving Zebra and had no time for shooting sticks 'cause the PH just threw them at me and said "Do the best you can" that I would want a double rifle to fit so that when the rifle was at my shoulder the sights were on the target.
