I would leave them as is but check that the cocking of the hammers is done as soon as you open the gun. A gun of that age can have worn cocking limbs and be difficult to open to the point where you won't be able to open it all. The strickers will stick in the cartridge. It also depends on how much the strickers protrude from the action and depth of rim.. Let a recognised double gunsmith check it over. Arnold |
