Searcy 470

I stopped by at Ivory Beads in Covina, CA today just to look around and they had a new Searcy 470 that just came in.

Very, very nice with just a touch of nice scroll engraving and extremely nice wood. It seemed very "solid" feeling and weighed just a bit under 10 1/2 lbs but was so well balanced it seemed much lighter. At just a bit over $10K, I thought it was a very good value for someone who wanted a working rifle rather than something to show their friends.

I really liked it but these old bones aren't up to shooting the heavy calibers any more. My search for a nice 9,3x74R continues.
