Hi Theo.

Like in most operationen if the re-sleeving is done good it will last forever.

Re-sleeving if done on older rifles if the chamber is damaged and one wish to continue have a use of the rifle. Itīs doesnīt have to a different new caliber of the same bullet diameter. Overhere re-sleeving a chamber is done mostly on old doublerifles and breakaction(kipplauf) rifles. On repeting rifles a rebarrel might be easier. In my case the .450Nitro was made into e .458win in the 1970s might because the .450 Nitro express ammo was no longer made(presumeably).
