Certainly a different style of engraving isn't it? Must say though that it is beautifully done, me I guess it depends on what the character the gun requires. To me an old English single shot rifle has to have large filigree around borders & to highlight certain features, barrel trigger guard etc The old shotgun, again filigree but a much smaller type covering the action But a rifle in a German calibre like 7x64mm, oak leaves and acorns a must - even on the stock too. That's what makes an 'average' rifle that much more personal & unique. I bet you guys out there have got some real classic examples of engraving out there 93x64mm |
