Tony: Please don't take offense at this, but I am wondering how you could possibly shoot that thing with such a high sight. Those sights are fine on handguns, where you just hold the pistol a bit lower, but in a double rifle where stock fit is critical to quick shooting and fast second-barrel shots, I think you may be doing yourself a great disservice. Chuck that thing away and rejoice in the open sights. Widen the rear vee if necessary (we had to on ours) and fit the correct size sight bead for your eyes, and you will never look back! BTW some of these rifles had brazed wedges and have to be re-regulated by lifting the ribs and altering the packing, rather than just moving the wedge. Ours did! Waidmannsheil: I too think these Sabatti doubles are marvelous things for the money, and even if you factor in the cost of re-regulation you get a pretty good double rifle sighted for your own favorite load at a ridiculously low price!
