...good show old chap, as they would say... ...now that you own a piece of history, you may wish to acquire the seminal book on hollands: the shooting field by peter king (original release in the mid 80s), as well as the recent follow-ons by safari press (mcintosh) and quiller press (dallas) for some fascinating history on one of the most celebrated of right honourable gunmakers... ...indeed, king's book (i believe) notes that many noblemen of that era had orders placed with hollands by 'third parties' for a host of reasons (seems reasonable, as i would rather doubt a 'lady' of that period would actually use a .465 calibre double...but who knows)... |
