I said never again, but here I go. I’m looking for a double in 9.3x74R. I’ve tried three in the $2-5K range and of recent vintage in the last of years. Although the all were new guns with test targets, and I went to great effort to get the specific load and grain wt, none of the guns lived up to my expectations (<4”). Most groups were in the 8-12” range. Not acceptable given the money involved. I simply had no confidence in the guns. I gave up and have been looking for a M-S 1910 in 9.5 ever since. Any thoughts on SxS vs. O/U? Are some brands better known for quality regulation? I’ve found a few O/U that had claw mounts, but no scope. Would this through off regulation? If so, would adding a scope of unknown weight help? Finally, if you know of a well-regulated 9.3 for sale, or a 1910 in 9.5 for that matter, please advise. Thank you in advance! Kind regards, Greg |
