I have a Searcy .500 and it has never doubled. Some guys experience doubling and blame it on the gun when in fact the recoil pulled their finger across the rear trigger causing the 2nd barrel to fire.

However, Searcys come with a full lifetime warranty. If you have any trouble, just UPS the rifle to California and the manufacturer will fix it for free.

That being said I am a little skeptical about claims of doubling. If someone experienced that, why not send the rifle back to the manufacturer to have it fixed (for free)?
