I put 7, count 'em, 7 .500NE 570 grain bullets through a really big Cape buffalo at 35 yards. All solid 570 grain Barnes banded solids. All went as straight as straight can be........... My 1st shot up the tail pipe at 85 yards, and the rest at 35 yards through the brisket and sideways through the left shoulder. Only a single bullet recovered, one through the brisket, diagonal through the animal, and recovered under the skin in front of the right hip, after passing through the paunch. The flat nose at the end of a tapered meaplate on a good mono metal bullet is hard to argue with.
