Stuart Granger's Gun In King Solomen"s Mine ?

Watched this movie the other night and at the beginning Alann Quartermaine (Granger) shoots an Elephant with a double rifle.....it is a Hammergun Jones underlever and appears to be at least a 577 But it could be a Bore rifle. Anybody really know ?....just curious. CHRIS
