Hello TH44,

Yes, I believe several things were reworked/upgraded, in 1900 when the new 20-.577 barrels were installed by Alex Henry. After all, by the year 1900, the rifle had already seen 32 years of service as a 12 bore.

I'll continue to research. Perhaps someday I'll find some information about James Robertson, the first owner who ordered it from Dickson in 1868 as a 12 bore double rifle.
