I'm a bit of a fan of the 26's myself.
I've owned and used doubles with 23", 23 1/2" 24", 26" and 26 1/2".
The 26 to 26 1/2 inch are about the sweetest handling doubles I've used as far as big side by sides are concerned.

Different story for O/U's though.
