But since I already had a 577/500 on the large side, and a 8mm Lebel on the small side, (with 8x57R, 9.3x74R, .375, 45-70 in the middle) a double rifle with a smaller 30 cal. cartridge, will fit nicely into my collection, and will be a lot of fun to play with. As for the stock carving, I agree. I would have preferred a "plain stock" with some nice figured grain instead. But, I'll learn to like it. In my opinion, stock carving should be reserved for "happy" Schuetzen rifles, like found on my Burgsmuller 8.15x47R. ![]() ![]() |
