Quote: Only in "Nitro for Black" loads. In Australia the usual projectile for any .500 N-for-B is the 440gr Woodleigh Weldcore designed for BP ballistics (Catalogue No. 8). They are more expensive than cast bullets of course, but offer marvellous performance in the hunting field. The only .500 in my safe at the moment is a Rodda (Scott) sidelock .577/.500 No.2, and even that chambering shoots the 440gr Woodleighs together quite well with medium-burning nitro-cellulose (although initially high). Someone will have to drag you chimney-sweeps, screaming, into the 21st Century! |
