I have a 450-400 Chapuis with a Leupold vx6 1-6x in Chapuis pivot mounts.

It's pretty well regulated withe irons at fifty but the scope actual does better at 100 y. I was thinking of getting it dialed in with softs with one barrel and trying different solid loads with the other until it's decent. Is this valid or nuts?
