230 grain at 2000 fps seems pretty feeble. Impact velocity of 1700 fps at 100 yds would just piss off most critters.

My .35 WCF shoot a 250 grain at 2200 fps and I'd consider that OK for animals up to 500 pounds not past 100 yards.

The 400/360 Purdey is a better choice IMO.
