Thanks to all who replied. I never thought I'd be able to own a double rifle due to the expense and my other addictions. This is a dream come true. Also thanks for the kind words in support of C&H - I've never thought of them as a "lesser" gunmaker. My brother in law has a matching pair of shotguns from them that are as beautiful as you will find. Also, its good to see some other .375 NE flanged 2 1/2" shooters out there. What is the shorthand to describe this cartridge anyway? 375 flanged? 375 2 1/2? There seems to be a 375 flanged magnum and, of course, 375 H&H so just 375 might be confusing? Is there a website or book wherein the making of 375 flanged from 405 Winchester is described? Best, John |
