They are there but very few and far between, In have not handled one but have seen several pics VERY desirable especially by the top makers, I certainly would snap one up if one turned up here in the UK Most rook rifles, especially the sidelever ones were made in the Birmingham gun trade and just stamped with the name of the top maker, Purdey, Holland & Holland as well as most of the other names did likewise There was no need for a double when rook shooting, but as doublerifljack says, if you wanted one, the top makers would make you one. An Alexander Henry (or other) hammer double rook rifle, nicely in proportion would certainly whet the appetite!! TH44 |
