I just had my gunsmith install a Trijicon RMR (RM06) on my Krieghoff Classic Double. When I first shot the rifle with open sights I was getting 6-8" "groups" (more or less in the black) at 50 yards using a stand up rest. The first time I shot the rifle with the RMR using the same rest, the groups were 1-2" in average. I'm 50 and my eyes just ain't what they used to be. I have an upcoming Cape hunt next April and I want to make a fantastic confident first shot - regardless of what folks out there say about using dots or scopes on doubles.

I contacted Krieghoff and their "solution" was a ridiculous number of adapters and bases - four in all. I'm sure it would have mounted the sight about 2" above the rib! Over-engineering at it's best. My gunsmith just said to drill two holes on the top rib and use a blank base.
