For those of you who might be interested in a bit of trivia behind the gun itself, it used to belong to Stuart Anderson Wheeler when he was a professional hunter in Tanzania and Botswana – I don’t think it made it to Cameroon, where he also hunts. So this gun wasn’t off-the-shelf, but has several elephant and buffalo to its history. The gun’s a box lock with the Anderson Wheeler house scroll on a coin finish, with a Turkish Walnut stock. I used to handle the rifle on a regular basis and it’s nice to see 007 carrying it around now. Anyone coming through London should come and see us in Mayfair, and see what other guns we have in the vault. |
