Wonder why it was made as a funeral model?

That scope rig is just unbearable. Strictly industrial. It's a German scope. Why didn't they get the Germans to mount it properly in claws?

Now I notice the little aperture sight. We have a scope stacked on top of a rear aperture that doesn't work as a quick detatch or fold-away.

The rifle is certainly blessed with an abundance of sighting devices.
