PS Another thought.

As your .500 probably will not be scoped, a scoped .375 will provide considerable versatility when say hunting in the jess.

I remember my last safari, we were shadowing a herd of cape buffalo, and had several ele bulls bums almost in touching distance in front of us going the same direction. We keep "bumping" in to them and had wait for them to move on. Neither the buff or the ele ever knew we were there.

Trying to pick a good buffalo in the herd, and making sure the shot was safe was going to be difficult, so the PH swapped his BA .416 with a scope with me and took the DR .450 of mine. The scope made a lot of difference especially making sure no buff was behind a target.

For you, not a problem, someone could carry your second double, one .500 un-scoped and a .375 scoped. Ideal.

In the end we didn't shoot any as even though some had very nice horn length none were fully hard in the boss which was a requirement I had asked for.
