The pheasant shoot surprised me. Well done! I heartedly approve of this type of fairwell. Before our dear friend Peter Nocholson, a fine English Gentleman left us, he asked that after he passed we discharge his ashes from his cannon over and across the field at Rendezvous B.C. That annual 10 day rendezvous was his favourite event and get-to-gether with friends. Peter had many. We aquiessed to his request, alwasy at 9PM on Wednesday evening while toasting Peter with his favourite beverage- Rusty Nails. The local (host) club where we had the shoot for over 20years, stopped the cannon shooting and competition using insurance problems as an excuse. We found this was BullSh. Seems some of their memebers didn't like cannons, I guess. Considering this Rendezvous made a chunk of money for their club - approximately, $3,800 per year's 10 day event in which we supply all our own targets and frames if we move venues, their loss. |
